My work takes a lot of inspiration from different subject matters, from video games and cartoons to cowboys or just an overheard conversation. I like to combine my hand drawn images with text to create my characters. It’s fun to play around with both analogue and digital techniques to situate these creatures in real life settings. From this mixed media process, a narrative often develops which I then craft into Illustrations, comic books, films or animations.

My colour palette could be considered deliberately ‘bad taste’. I’m not too interested in the status quo of HD aesthetics and the slick perfection of our digital culture. The general themes of my work are motivated and centred in the mundane and the everyday, resulting in a rather absurdist aesthetic.
